The Intel Core i7-4820K is a desktop processor with 4 cores, launched in September 2013. It is part of the Core i7 lineup, using the Ivy Bridge-E architecture with Socket 2011. Intel is building the Core i7-4820K on a 22 nm production process using 1,860 million transistors. With a TDP of 130 W, the Core i7-4820K consumes a lot of power, so good cooling is definitely needed. Intel's processor supports DDR3 memory with a quad-channel interface.
