The Intel Core i3-3245 was a desktop processor with 2 cores, launched in Q2 2013. It is part of the Core i3 lineup, using the Ivy Bridge architecture with Socket 1155. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading the core-count is effectively doubled, to 4 threads. The Core i3-3245 has 3 MB of L3 cache and operates at 3.4 GHz. Intel is building the Core i3-3245 on a 22 nm production process. The multiplier is locked on Core i3-3245, which limits its overclocking capabilities. With a TDP of 55 W, the Core i3-3245 is moderately power efficient. Intel's processor supports DDR3 memory with a dual-channel interface, with a maximum supported speed of DDR3-1600. This processor features Intel HD Graphics 4000 integrated graphics, eliminating the need for a separate graphics card for basic display needs. Hardware virtualization is available on the Core i3-3245, which improves virtual machine performance. The processor also supports Intel's Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) for improved performance in floating-point intensive applications.
