The Intel Xeon X5272 was a server/workstation processor with 2 cores, launched in November 2007. It is part of the Xeon lineup, using the Wolfdale architecture with Socket 771. Xeon X5272 has 6 MB of L2 cache and operates at 3.4 GHz. Intel is building the Xeon X5272 on a 45 nm production process using 410 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Xeon X5272, which limits its overclocking capabilities.
