The Intel Xeon E3-1275L v3 was a server/workstation processor with 4 cores, launched in Q2 2013. It is part of the Xeon lineup, using the Haswell architecture with Socket LGA1150. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading the core-count is effectively doubled, to 8 threads. Xeon E3-1275L v3 has 8 MB of L3 cache and operates at a base frequency of 2.7 GHz. Intel is building the Xeon E3-1275L v3 on a 22 nm production process. The multiplier is locked on Xeon E3-1275L v3, which limits its overclocking capabilities. With a TDP of just 45 W, the Xeon E3-1275L v3 is highly power-efficient compared to other Xeon processors, making it suitable for environments where energy consumption is a concern. Intel's processor supports DDR3 memory with a dual-channel interface and a maximum speed of 1600 MHz. ECC memory is supported, too, which is an important capability for mission-critical systems, to avoid data corruption. For communication with other components in the system, Xeon E3-1275L v3 uses a PCI-Express Gen 3 connection. Unlike many Xeon processors, this model features Intel HD Graphics P4600 integrated graphics, eliminating the need for a separate graphics card in basic applications. Hardware virtualization is available on the Xeon E3-1275L v3, which greatly improves virtual machine performance. The processor also supports Intel's advanced technologies like Turbo Boost 2.0 for dynamic performance adjustment and AES-NI for accelerated encryption operations.
