The Intel Xeon Gold 6150 was a high-performance server/workstation processor with 18 cores, launched in July 2017. It is part of the Xeon Gold lineup, using the Skylake-SP architecture with Socket LGA3647. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading, the core-count is effectively doubled, to 36 threads. To further increase overall system performance, up to four Xeon Gold 6150 CPUs can work together in a multi-processor (SMP) configuration.

The Xeon Gold 6150 features a base clock speed of 2.7 GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 3.7 GHz, dynamically adjusting based on workload demands. It includes a substantial 24.75 MB of L3 cache, enhancing data processing efficiency. Intel manufactures the Xeon Gold 6150 on a 14 nm production node, utilizing advanced transistor technology for improved performance and power efficiency.

With a TDP of 165 W, the Xeon Gold 6150 demands robust cooling solutions to maintain optimal operating temperatures. The processor supports DDR4 memory with a six-channel interface, running at speeds up to 2666 MHz, ensuring high bandwidth for data-intensive applications.
